Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child, was born to a family in South London. She's English, and her father was Nigerian. She was raised in the southern part of London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. She was a student at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned an acting BA. She was on stage in many productions while attending school like the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career through a short film called Storm Damage. She has since made appearances in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. After the film's success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha in The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured in six episodes Trexx as well as Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's role on ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and to annoy people (2008). A couple of her credits on stage are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe debuted in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama program aired at The CW for only two episodes before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was announced that Madekwe, who had played a regular role in the past two seasons, was to leave the series with a guest appearance on the premiere episode of the new season. The actress portrayed Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 to 2016. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for the Gemini Award, hails from the large Hamilton family. She was raised by the parents Roy and Patty along with four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's brothers, who were all very physically active, were all playing hockey in the winter months and played baseball in the summer, so that she grew up playing in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley had never been able to actually walk. She would dance. When she reached just 2 1/2 years old, she was a part of Baby Ballet. That was the start of Ashley's interest in dance. Ashley was a competitor in tap, jazz and ballet in the high divisions. Ashley took home the best soloist honor at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more, just to mention the few.
