Angela Gossow Urach
Angela Gossow, born in Cologne to Christian parents, she had three brothers and sisters. She was 17 years old at the time her parents separated. The business of her parents also was bankrupt, adding to her financial woes. Her financial troubles are exacerbated due to her eating disorder and anorexia. Gossow was very straightforward in her explanation of why she decided to quit ARCH Enemy as their singer. She explained, "There's a place and timing for everything." When I started in 1991, I was just beginning my professional career. In the end, I had began to lose interest in having to live a life on the go. Therefore, I chose to slow away instead of pretending. The frontman from the beginning of the band, Johan Liiva was replaced in 2000 by German singer Angela Gossow. In 1986, the Australian vocalist John Farnham recorded the song "You're The Voice". The track became immediately popular in Australia and in several European nations, including Ireland as well as the UK.
