Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28th, 1967) is an American actress and singer. The career of Wuhrer began when she was a teenager. Her most famous role is Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders; and her character Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter Karin Noble (nee Noble), who works as an accountant for payroll and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a policeman and car dealer). She has three sisters and brothers. As a teenager, she was a singer who was a regular in the clubs, sneaking away from her family for the sake of performing. At the Wooster School, at the age of thirteen She began her studies in acting. Then, at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College located at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London with the well-known professor Uta Hagen. She studied with her. She is a Brookfield local birthed in Brookfield Connecticut, on the 28th day of April, 1967. Kari is the daughter of an American-born father from Germany and a German-American mother. Kari's siblings are three. As a teenager, she performed in nightclubs when she would sneak away and perform. Kari was studying acting by the time she was 13. Her next stage of study was acting at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College, as well as The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and with Uta Hagen, a renowned teacher. Kari stepped into acting as a teenager, and her first TV appearance was on 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
